Five ways to get the most out of Beast Academy Online

Levels in Beast Academy roughly align with grade levels, but are slightly more difficult. Taking a placement test helps your child starts at the right level: not too easy to be boring, and not too hard to be discouraging.

Take the placement test here or as part of Beast Academy Online (BA Online) onboarding.

Set up reminders or add practice times to your calendar with your child, so you both make a commitment to learning. Not only does consistency create good habits, it also means they’re back at it before frustration from a tough session turns into “I’m bad at this.”

Many browsers now include built-in AI tools that can answer questions in 1 click directly from the page your child is on. We recommend disabling these while your child works in BA Online.

If your family uses a different browser, check its settings for a similar AI assistant toggle; most are found under Settings > AI or Settings > Privacy

Keep paper and pencils next to the device for every sessions. Writing things down helps kids organize their thinking, catch their own mistakes, and build good habits.

Beast Academy is designed to be challenging on purpose. Getting stuck, making mistakes, and trying again is an important part of learning. Remind your kid that even the strongest math beasts get stuck sometimes.
